As many of you might know, Andrea Palmieri, better known as Papero, died on Monday, 2 January 2017.
We are devastated in view of the sudden death of a good friend and life-long passionate supporter of Bologna FC.
Papero had been a long-time fan activist, involved in FSE since its foundation. He also played a big part in the Mondiali Antirazzisti and ran the Italian Fans’ Embassy for many years.
Papero was one of the people who, no matter what club they supported, stood up against racism, fought for fans’ rights and helped other fans regardless of where they came from. We will remember Papero as proper ultra, a kind, funny and passionate human being and dedicated member of our organisation. Over the last decade, many fans from all over Europe involved within FSE and beyond, worked, laughed and partied with Papero and he will be deeply missed by all of them.
Right now our thoughts are with Papero’s family, friends and group members. We wish them all the strength, unity and love required to get through these coming days and weeks of grief and sorrow.
